10. Surgery

We perform surgeries such as spay/neuter, abdominal surgery, removing tumors….

Spay/neuter is routine day surgery. While Ovariohysterectomy is a procedure where we remove the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries in females, neutering is surgical procedure to remove the testicles in males.

We recommend sterilization at 6 months of age. The pet will be kept and monitored the whole day in clinic and can come home in the evening. But you can definitively ask our staff to take care of your pet for additional days. The surgery is performed with anesthetic procedure supported by intravenous fluid therapy (perfusion). The pet is released with medications at home and a cone preventing your pets from licking or chewing the incision.  Pets will fully recover 10 -14 days after surgery with an appointment for removing stitches required around 2 weeks after surgery.

To ensure the safety of your pet, all surgery with us is preceded by an evaluation about the pet’s health status. We’ll advise you when is the best time to come for pick up your pet.
